Top 6 Photos From My Trip to the Bamboo Sea

March 31, 2016

After being in Chengdu for almost three weeks, I figured it was time for me to leave the city and go explore. Since I am still new around here, I don’t know what the cool places are so I left it up to faith. I went to the bus station on a Wednesday afternoon, closed my eyes and picked a random spot on the map. I guess the universe just wanted me to see the beauty bamboo has to offer. This place, Shunan Zhuhai is on the border of Changning and Jiang’an. The national park is approximately 120 square kilometers and I would honestly say it is one of the most beautiful places in China. I had the opportunity to hike to the majority of the attractions within the park, and although it was extremely tiring, it was so worth it.

I found it very interesting how the locals take advantage of the Bamboo to build the infrastructure. This definitely makes the forest look a lot more natural.

I must say, I was smiling the whole day. Something about finally being able to breathe some fresh air made me feel extremely happy.
