What It’s Like to Study in Indonesia: Student Takeover

May 7, 2016

Throughout the month of May, we are featuring student takeovers on our Instagram so that you can get a more in-depth look at what it’s like to study abroad. ISEP student Natalia M. from University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez is currently studying abroad at BINUS University. See some of Natalia’s adventures below and even more on her Instagram!

1

Kalibiru Wisata Alam, Indonesia - “Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. Another bucket list dream accomplished!”

2

Prambanan Temple, Yogyakarta, Indonesia - “The Prambanan Temple was built around the mid-9th century and it’s the largest Hindu temple of ancient Java. Infused with myths of giants, demons and a cursed princess, this unique place reminds me of how far away I am from my home. Once again I feel blessed, ecstatic and thankful for the people that I’ve meet along the way and this eye-opening cultural experience.”

3

Pindul Cave, Indonesia - “Floating through the lazy river of what is not the biggest, nor most popular cave in the world, I stumbled across a smiling sun, that shined bright through some tangled plants. Amazed and stunned by this small patch of magical nature, I simply smiled back… I was reminded that beauty is not just superficial, but found in the simplest, most uncommon, of places.”

4

Pari Island, Indonesia - “If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there.”

5

Cirebon, Indonesia - “Vegan Cuisine”

6

Gardens by the Bay, Singapore - “Apreciando las bellezas de #Asia.”

7

Blue Point Beach, Uluwatu-Bali, Indonesia - “Do you ever wonder, what lies underneath? … Other than a Puertorrican and a Mexican, of course.”

8

Papandayan Mountain, Indonesia - “Donde quiera que vaya, cada experiencia que vaya creando, #PuertoRico siempre en mi.”
