Celebrating Diversity During International Education Week

November 16, 2016

ISEP is celebrating International Education Week by highlighting the students and stories that make our community so unique.

Check out some of the photos below to learn more about some of the students that are studying abroad with ISEP this semester.

Stephane Andrianasolo

“I am Stephane from Madagascar. I study at Université de la Réunion where I major in business and tourism engineering. This semester, I am studying abroad at Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina. I love music and sports. One of my favorite quotes is, ‘The purpose is the journey itself.’”

Eva Garza Ruiz

“My name is Eva. I grew up in Mexico and then moved to El Paso, Texas to go to university. I wanted to study abroad in a non-traditional study abroad destination, and I chose South Africa. Coming here has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. South Africa is an amazing country, full of history, landscapes and cultures. This country has captured my heart, and if you decide to come, I am pretty sure you’ll fall in love with everything this country has to offer.” Eva studies international business at the University of Texas at El Paso, and is currently studying abroad at University of Johannesburg in South Africa.

SunJung Park

“I am SunJung Park from South Korea. I also go by Sunny! I am a junior at Ewha Womans University, where I study history. I really love to travel and study abroad because it gives me precious memories and helps me grow. I especially love world history because I can learn various views of different cultures and languages when I study their own history! I am really happy to come to the U.S. as an exchange students through ISEP and I will never forget this memory.” Sunny is currently abroad at East Stroudsberg University in the United States.

Areli Enriquez

“I like to call myself an adventure seeker - I love exploring, going to new places and trying new things. I’m also the creative type and I enjoy doing anything that involves putting my creative skills to test. I’m Mexican-American so growing up I’ve had the best of both worlds! I will be studying fashion in the city of Milano, which is one of the things I am most excited about since it is one of my passions. I’m just a 21-year-old trying to see and experience the world in every way possible.” Areli is a business marketing major from the University of Texas at El Paso, and is currently studying abroad at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Italy.

Salma Abdulkader

“My name is Salma Abdulkader and I’m at student at Dominican University of California. I am currently studying abroad at Al Akhawayn University in Morocco and loving every second of it. I love reading, playing music, meeting new people and have a serious case of wanderlust.”
