When I left my home university, I never could have imagined the adventures that awaited me. I was worried about the city that I had chosen because I didn’t know much about it. When I arrived to Dortmund, I found a unique city. In this experience, I would like to show you Germany through a different point of view. I love exercising and I thought studying abroad could be perfect for running in different parts of Germany. The objective will be to explore the world and exercising at the same time.
Today, I would like to start with Dortmund. In almost one month I have discovered a lot of amazing places in the city and I have created a tourism route for runners. The center of Dortmund is compact, for this reason this route was only 6.7km. It is an easy route also for beginners. On this route, you can see some of the most important buildings in Dortmund, like the German Football Museum, the Old Town Hall or St. Reinoldi church. Through these buildings you can see and understand more of the German architecture. Dortmund also has amazing parks and green areas like Westfalenpark, an amazing place to run surrounded by nature.
In my next post, I will show you Düsseldorf, Cologne or Essen, which are located within the state, as well as the biggest metropolitan area on the European continent, Rhine-Ruhr. With this initiative, I would like to inspire you to discover our world and exercise at the same time!
