February 15, 2018

ISEP Study Abroad announced the appointment of Edson Olds as the new Chief Marketing Officer effective February 21, 2018.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Edson will provide strategic leadership for the marketing, creative and recruiting teams of the not-for-profit membership organization based in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

Among the top priorities for the CMO will be developing and implementing a new integrated marketing strategy to serve the organization’s global community:

  • 330+ colleges and university members in over 50 countries
  • 3,000+ students and prospective students annually
  • 56,000+ alumni

Of the announcement, ISEP President and CEO John Lucas, Ph.D. commented, “Edson comes to ISEP with a proven record of enrollment growth in the education sector. His business acumen and executive leadership overseeing integrated marketing are the core of what we were seeking in our CMO. For our team his creativity, attitude and flexibility are a great fit. For our members and students particularly, we are pleased with Edson’s demonstrated background of cross-cultural respect, understanding and international experience.”

Most recently, Edson provided executive leadership in marketing, sales and business development for two leading education companies focused on providing high quality personalized education to help students around the world reach their full potential.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the largest global membership community focused on student mobility. Working together with members and partners we will continue to fulfill ISEP’s mission of increasing access to immersive cultural experiences for students across the U.S. and around the world,” remarked Edson Olds of his appointment as CMO of ISEP Study Abroad.

As the organization embarks on a new strategic plan in 2018, the CMO will play a key role by designing and leading a growth strategy to support ISEP’s mission and organizational strengths in global student mobility: academic quality, student inclusivity and a collaborative membership community.
