In response to student demand for programs in popular destinations like California, New York City, and other beautiful locations, we have partnered with members to offer five new ISEP Direct programs in the United States. These include California universities, California State University, San Marcos and San Jose State University; St. Peter’s University, just outside of New York City; and top East Coast institutions, UNC Charlotte and Western Carolina University, situated between the stunning Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains.
Students can now guarantee their placement at these institutions on ISEP Direct, if they meet the minimum requirements, without having to rely on highly competitive exchange space at these popular locations.
New ISEP Direct Destinations in the U.S.
San Jose State University in San Jose, California
Located in Silicon Valley, known as the global center for science, technology and entrepreneurship, SJSU provides the ideal learning environment for students with a desire to innovate and dream big. With small classroom sizes and tenured professors who are trailblazers in their fields, students will be prepared to tackle 21st century challenges including clean energy, healthcare technology, fuel-efficient transportation and cyber security. With over 400 student organizations on SJSU’s campus and sites like the Santa Cruz coastline and Golden Gate Bridge nearby, students will have lots to keep them active!
Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, New Jersey
Saint Peter’s has the perks of being minutes from the art and cultural mecca of New York City while offering a more intimate U.S. college campus experience complete with lush green lawns and 50 clubs and student organizations. For a small university, under 4,000 undergraduate students, Saint Peter’s has a remarkably diverse student body representing more than 60 countries around the world. This liberal arts college offers over 140 majors and small class sizes with a student-faculty ratio of 12-to-1.
Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina
Our most affordable ISEP Direct option in the U.S. at less than $10,000 USD per semester including housing and meals! With the opportunity to study, explore and live between the picturesque hillsides of the Great Smoky and Blue Ridge Mountains, WCU provides the perfect educational opportunity for lovers of the outdoors. Even if you don’t take advantage of world-class outdoor education courses, there is incredible access to all kinds of outdoor adventures and more than 170 student organizations on campus. The university also has excellent support for international students and is a top 5 institution nationally for undergraduate research.
INTENSIVE ENGLISH PATHWAY PROGRAM
California State University San Marcos in San Marcos, California
Located near sunny San Diego, students can fast-track their way to English language fluency while studying within a short distance to some of California’s most beautiful beaches, mountains and deserts. The Intensive English Pathway program offered through CSUSM’s American Language and Culture Institute teaches English through ESL reading, vocabulary, grammar and public speaking. Students can also take general university courses in a wide range of topics including music, native studies, literature and writing to name a few!
SOCIAL MEDIA FOR BUSINESS & DIGITAL MARKETING
University of North Carolina Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina
This new three-week summer program designed for business and marketing majors gives students insight into how digital technology and social media are shaping the business world. Students will learn from professors who are leaders in their field and gain industry insights through speaker sessions and visits to local businesses. Students will also partake in U.S. cultural activities that will take them outside the classroom in and around the “Queen City” of Charlotte.
