ISEP Community Workshop: Fika & Internationalisation at Home
Tuesday, September 9
Fika and Networking | 15:30 - 16:00
Workshop | 16:00 - 17:30
Grand Curiosa Hotel at Liseberg | Auditoriet Room
Born in Sweden, the concept of Internationalisation at Home encourages inclusive internationalisation practices that extend beyond mobility, reaching all students. Also Swedish in origin, fika is more than a coffee break — it’s a cherished cultural ritual that invites us to pause, connect, and be present. This ISEP professional development workshop brings the two ideas together for a moment of collective reflection and growth during the busy EAIE week.
Through real examples from Nordic institutions, we’ll explore:
How meaningful connection can enhance inclusive internationalization.
What we can learn from fika about presence, simplicity, and intentional encounters.
Practical ideas to foster Internationalisation at Home with warmth and authenticity.
Expect useful takeaways and insights, and maybe even a cinnamon bun or two!
Space is limited to 30 participants on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to RSVP early!
