ISEP Internships

Maximize your time in Brussels by applying classroom learning to a professional setting. For spring or fall, you’ll enroll in a single or double internship, where you will spend 12-25 hours per week at your placement while earning 3-6 U.S. credits. For summer, you will earn 6 U.S. credits across two courses, one of which may be a 3-credit internship course.

Fall, spring and summer

Intern with a local company or organization through the CzechMates program at Masaryk University. You’ll earn 24–32 ECTS (12–15 U.S. credits) by participating in a 15–20 hour per week internship complemented by an 8–10 hour weekly seminar.

Fall and spring

Enroll in ACT’s Business Internship course where you will earn 3 U.S. credits while gaining hands-on experience working for a local organization. This part-time internship combines in-class lectures with work at your assigned placement. To be eligible, you must be in your 3rd or 4th year of study and have some business or economics experience on your transcript.

Business, health sciences, education, natural resource conservation

Local community NGOs, agencies and organizations providing services in healthcare, education, environmental conservation, or social activism

Fall and spring

Gain hands-on experience while earning 3 U.S. credits through a 10–20 hour per week placement matched to your interests and language level.

Business, hospitality and tourism management, education, architecture, interior design, culinary arts and visual arts

Accounting and business, fundraising, gallery assistant roles, education and childcare, teaching English as a foreign language, architecture studios and interior design firms, baking and pastry industry, culinary arts and hospitality industry.

Fall, spring and summer

Earn 15 NMIT credits (~3 U.S. credits) through a part-time internship in marine science or sports science in Nelson. To participate, you must be in your second year of study and spend approximately 15 hours per week at your internship placement.

Aquaculture and marine conservation, sports science and kinesiology

Gyms and fitness centers, community sports organizations, physiotherapy clinics, environmental agencies, aquaculture companies, marine research institutes.

Fall and spring

Strengthen your resume through a 6-week, 70 hour externship at London Met. The internship module is worth U.K. credits (~3 U.S. credits) and includes professional development workshops and assignments opportunities to reflect on your skillset.

Accounting and finance firms, business offices, nonprofit organizations, media agencies, event management companies, recruitment firms, health and social care organizations, hospitality and tourism businesses, tech companies, law firms, government offices, education providers, and more.

Fall and spring

Maximize your time in New Zealand by adding an internship course where you will earn 3-4 U.S. credits. In partnership with the University of Waikato, InternNZ coordinates placements where you will develop cross-cultural professional skills. Plan on spending about 15 hours per week at your internship.
