I am from the University of Northern Colorado in the U.S. studying abroad at University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom. As a journalism student, I am fascinated by the region of England my host university is situated in. Many of the people here have been here for generations and they represent a part of the country not typically associated with England. This is my second semester abroad, which allows me to become even more familiar with the country, but I still have a lot to learn.
