Margaret Heisel, Ph.D.

Dr. Margaret Heisel is a Research Associate at the Center for Studies in Higher Education for the University of California Berkley, in the United States. She was founding Director of the Center for Capacity Building in Study Abroad, located in Washington, D.C., for the Association of Public and Land Grant Universities and the Association of International Educators. Her expertise is built upon a 40-year career at the University of California Office of the President, serving in various leadership positions in Academic Affairs, including system responsibility for off-campus academic programs. She also has served as a faculty member and administrator at major universities and colleges in the Midwest, South, New England and California, and managed a wide range of programs and administrative units. She has been an ISEP board member since 2013.
