My name is Olivia Malone, and I am a junior studying Environmental Social Justice at Loyola University New Orleans. This semester I am excited to study at the University of Ghana in order to learn about the environmental effects of the oil, gas and mining industries in West Africa. I will also take courses in philosophy, political science, sociology and the language of Twi. During my previous semester, I studied climate change adaptation in Peru, so I am looking forward to connecting what I will learn in Ghana to my previous experience abroad.
