Samantha Newell

Student Services Officer | United Kingdom and Ireland

Samantha is originally from New Hampshire and currently resides in Wilmington, North Carolina. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Emmanuel College in Boston. As an undergraduate, she studied abroad on Semester at Sea, where she developed a passion for global learning, travel, and exploring new cultures. After graduating, Samantha spent three years teaching internationally in Thailand, Sweden, and Costa Rica. In total, she taught for eight years before transitioning to higher education. She earned her M.Ed. in Higher Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, with a focus on global citizenship. As part of her graduate studies, she completed a short-term internship in the International Office at Maynooth University in Ireland. Prior to joining ISEP, Samantha worked as a graduate assistant in the UNCW Office of Education Abroad, supporting international programs and advising students on study abroad opportunities. She now serves as a Student Services Officer for ISEP, supporting students participating in programs across the UK and Ireland. When she’s not working, Samantha enjoys hiking with her two dogs, sailing, practicing yoga, reading, painting, and spending time with her family.
