Who can apply?

You are eligible to apply for this scholarship if you are attending an ISEP Exchange or ISEP Direct program in South Korea for a semester, have an overall academic performance of 80% or higher (generally a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale), do not have South Korean citizenship or dual nationality with South Korea, and have not received a scholarship from the South Korean government previously.

Recipients are required to take at least one course on Korean language or culture during their semester abroad.

How much is awarded to scholarship recipients?

Approximately 500 recipients will be selected to receive KRW 630,000 per month for their semester program, and reimbursement for round-trip economy airfare to South Korea.

How to apply:

Students will be invited to apply by their South Korean host university, approximately one month before arrival on campus. Host universities will provide the application form, and students will need to submit the completed form along with an essay to their host university. The host university will then forward the applications to the South Korean government for the selection process.

When Scholarships Awarded:
