Hiya! My name is Maire (pronounced “Moya”) Birdwell! I am a student at the University of Kentucky, where I study Geography and Japanese! I am studying abroad at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan, continuing to learn Japanese and the culture! I love to travel and experience different cultures of the world, and I am so excited to be sharing my story in Japan through content creation for people to get a view into my world during my time here!

Josiah Stroman
My name is Josiah Stroman and this summer I am studying abroad in Germany. I am pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology at South Carolina State University. I am actively involved in several extracurricular activities. I am a member of the National Society of Black Engineers and the National Society of Leadership and Success, a member of Marching 101 and the Dance Routine Committee (DRC), and a founding member of Molding Men. My dedication to my studies and extracurricular involvement has earned me multiple scholarships and awards, including the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship. My blend of academic excellence, practical experience, and leadership skills will make me an exemplary ISEP Study Abroad Ambassador.
