ISEP Guide to Mobility Accommodations Abroad

July 16, 2019

We want to empower all students to go abroad – it’s part of our mission of increasing access to international opportunities. For students concerned about being limited by mobility, we will work with you to find the right fit.

ISEP is the world’s largest global university membership organization focused on study abroad. With 340+ members across 56 countries we will work with you to find a program that can accommodate your needs academically and physically.

Before You Go: Have a conversation with our team.

We welcome you to advising sessions specific to your needs and what you want from your study abroad experience. Your study abroad office and our ISEP Global team will help you find the right fit academically, geographically and with inclusive advising that plans for your mobility needs.

Step 1:

Think about what you need and what you want. Consider your mobility and academic needs and dream about where you want to study abroad.

Step 2:

Talk with advisors about your plans. You can start with your study abroad office or by talking with one of our ISEP University Relations Managers. Our team is ready to learn about your needs and wants and help guide recommendations for your experience.

Step 3:

Tell us about your mobility needs. The more we know, and the earlier we know, the better we can secure the best fit for your experience. We recommend starting with a call or email to us, but there are also two opportunities throughout the application process to provide these necessary points of information.

a. ISEP Application

b. ISEP Medical Form

While You are Abroad

We will check in with you to ensure you have what you need to feel successful in realizing your study abroad goals. At your host university, your ISEP Coordinator’s office door and email box is open; listening and helping troubleshoot unforeseen challenges by connecting you with additional offices or resources on that campus and in that town.

When You Become an ISEP Alum

We learn from your experience - including what we can improve for future students. We also help you tell your story so that more students will know they too can study abroad - learning how, where, and what resources are available.
