Federal and most institutional financial aid can be used for ISEP programs, and your financial aid award may be adjusted to cover travel costs and additional fees. Your university may also have specific internal scholarships reserved for study abroad. Set up a time to meet with the international programs staff and the financial aid office as soon as you can.
All federal, state and institutional aid transfers. As long you are earning academic credit that is fulfilling some requirement of your degree program (including elective credits) you can use federal aid for ISEP Exchange programs. Title IV of the Higher Education Act guarantees that students can use federal aid for any approved study abroad programs. Work-Study Grants may not be applied.
Most ISEP students who receive federal financial aid in the United States should be able to use U.S. federal aid on ISEP programs that award academic credit. (All ISEP programs award academic credit, there may be an additional fee if you need academic credit for internships offered through The Intern Group.) To confirm you can use state or federal financial aid on your ISEP Program, please check with your home institution. Title IV of the Higher Education Act guarantees that students can use federal aid for any approved study abroad programs. ISEP Study Abroad is an eligible Title IV recipient. The use of state and institutional aid will vary from member to member.
