Director of Strategic Communications
Melody joined ISEP in February 2020 and oversees ISEP’s communication and event strategy. Melody has worked in international education since 2008 and has experience in education abroad, international alumni programs, international student programming, and teaching English to speakers of other languages. As an undergraduate at Missouri State University, she participated on an ISEP Exchange in Aalborg, Denmark, and later spent a year teaching in Pereira, Colombia. Melody earned a master’s degree in International Education at the George Washington University, where she focused her research on marketing and rhetoric in education abroad. Most recently, Melody worked at the University of Kansas, serving as an outbound ISEP advisor in addition to managing marketing, recruitment, and first-step advising for KU Study Abroad & Global Engagement. She has presented on marketing to under-represented students, study abroad reentry programs, managing campus events, and student staff management. In 2015, Melody received the NAFSA Region II Young Leader award.
