Jennifer Gay Returns to ISEP Study Abroad as Senior Director for U.S. West Member Relations; Zach Tobin Promoted to Senior Director for U.S. East Member Relations

August 26, 2026

ISEP Study Abroad is delighted to announce that Jennifer Gay has returned to the organization as Senior Director of Member Relations, U.S. West, and Zach Tobin has been promoted to Senior Director of Member Relations, U.S. East. In these roles, Gay and Tobin will report to Kristen Aguto, Vice President of Member Relations, and work together to strengthen support for ISEP member institutions across the United States.

Gay previously served with ISEP from 2018 to 2021. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in international education, Gay has held senior positions across higher education institutions and mission-driven organizations. As the Senior International Officer at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, she championed the institution’s membership in the ISEP community to advance access and equity for Fort Lewis students.

“Returning to ISEP feels like coming home,” stated Gay. “Having spent the last five years outside the organization, I gained an even deeper appreciation for what makes ISEP special in the way they authentically live their vision and values. I’m thrilled to rejoin this incredible community, reconnect with colleagues and partners, and help advance opportunities that transform the lives of students around the world.”

Zach Tobin joined ISEP in 2019. As Director of Member Relations for the U.S., he grew ISEP membership across the U.S., expanded support and partnership with Historically Black Colleges and Universities, led ISEP’s signing of CANIE, and guided ISEP’s health, safety, and emergency response during COVID-19. For the last five years, he has overseen all U.S. ISEP Member support, service, and mobility. In his new role, he will focus on the U.S. East with increased capacity for supporting ISEP partners.

“It has been an incredible pleasure to serve our institutions in the U.S. West for the past five years,” said Tobin. “However, as ISEP has grown, so has our responsibility to our member community and nonprofit mission. This is exactly why we’ve brought Jennifer back into the fold, and I could not be more excited to work alongside her to better serve the ISEP community.”

As Senior Directors of Member Relations for the U.S., Tobin and Gay will create new opportunities for ISEP member institutions to reach their internationalization goals under the direction of Vice-President Kristen Aguto. Together, they will ensure students have access to affordable, high-impact opportunities to study, intern, and volunteer abroad as part of their academic journey.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer back to the ISEP community as Senior Director of Member Relations for the U.S. West,” said Aguto. “She brings extensive experience in relationship-building, partner engagement, and creating access for underrepresented students. Her role will allow us to devote more senior-level attention to partners in the Western U.S., while Zach will be able to focus more deeply on partners in the Eastern and Midwestern regions. We are confident that their joint oversight of the United States will contribute to sustained growth, access, and inclusivity across the region and throughout the organization.”
