My name is Peyton Jackson and I use they/them/theirs pronouns. I'm 20 years old and from Wilmington, North Carolina. I study Biology (Ecology/Evolution) and Chemistry at East Carolina University, but I am currently taking Zoology courses at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa! My passions include wildlife conservation, which makes South Africa a perfect place to study abroad, but I'm also excited to experience another culture and dive into Joburg's LGBT community. While I'm abroad, I hope to learn about how South Africa approaches conservation efforts while gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation for my role in the global community.
