Ideal for political science, international relations, business, and communications majors.
Service-Learning Internship
Summer in Ghana
University of Ghana | Accra, Ghana
Spend 5 weeks studying in Ghana, and join included excursions to major historic sites and incredible natural parks. Students on the Ghana program are strongly encouraged to volunteer in the local community. Students can enroll in a 3-credit Service-Learning and Internship course and serve in the local community.

Summer in Costa Rica - Hospital Shadowing & Medical Spanish
International Center of Development Studies | San Jose, Costa Rica
Spend 6 weeks in San Jose, Costa Rica, learning medical Spanish appropriate for working with native Spanish speakers and their families. Students with intermediate to advanced Spanish skills also complete rotations and observations in a well-known local hospital. Students with beginning Spanish skills work in the community with a social services organization.
Summer in Costa Rica - Sustainability & Service-Learning
International Center of Development Studies | San Jose, Costa Rica
Spend 3 weeks studying Spanish and completing a service-project in San Jose, followed by 3 weeks working on a rural community farm focused on sustainable agriculture and food supply. No prior Spanish language study required.
