ISEP Update - Programs and Policies during COVID-19

May 1, 2020

ISEP continues to work closely with our member institutions throughout the COVID-19 crisis. Worldwide, we know our university partners, students, and their families face uncertainty and ambiguity.

Through their collaboration and dedication to ISEP students, our members have worked together to transition Spring 2020 students into remote and online learning. Although most ISEP students have chosen to return home, our Health & Safety Taskforce continues to support the students who have remained at their host institutions.

The health and safety of ISEP students is our top priority. We continue to evaluate the situation and monitor updates from the World Health Organization, U.S. Department of State, and Centers for Disease Control. We look forward to offering a virtual opportunities during the crisis and are hopeful our fall programs will proceed as planned.

NEW! Virtual Opportunities
ISEP Study Abroad is pleased to offer a wide range of virtual opportunities, including internships through our partners The Intern Group and Global Experiences. During summer 2020, we will also offer immersive language study online and virtual summer classes, some with in-person opportunities in January. We will announce details soon.

Fall 2020 Programs
We are hopeful that students can travel safely to their programs for the semester 1 term. ISEP will communicate program decisions to students at least 60 days before the scheduled program start date, and no later than July 1, 2020 – whichever date comes first.

In the event that a heightened travel advisory causes ISEP or your host university to suspend your program or your home university prohibits you from participating before your program begins, our Travel Advisory Policy protects you. We are committed to offering you a placement in another suitable program, deferring you to a later semester in the same program, or providing a full refund of your program placement fee.

Spring 2021
Applications are open now for spring 2021! ISEP programs are affordable, immersive, and authentic. Explore your options and let us know how we can help you find the perfect program for you.
